I can get an instant quite for new uPVC windows, any size almost any type

I just want a reasonably priced supplier for DG units to fix some existing
frames.

Been round the local glaziers - all coming up with what seem fairly high
prices of around 130 quid per square meter for 12mm gap 4+4mm toughened
glass, low-e.

Anyone got a web address of a DG sealed unit supplier?

Cheers
The only thing I can think of to stop it would to be take a wooden

I am hoping someone has an ingenious solution that doesn't require
drilling holes through my carpet.

Thanks for your help with my question yesterday, all I need to know
now is;
I got 4MB (2x2) as an upgrade as the sites I looked on said that's
what the laptop (Toshiba Satellite Pro A120) would take, when I put
them in all I get are the flashing lights to say there's a memory
problem - tried both, one in one slot, then the other, original memory
plus one new, both new, left foot in, left foot out, everything.

Tried one of those sites that scans your computer and, according to
that the machine will only take a total of 2GB (one in each slot,
obviously) - so, basically, would I get the flashing lights showing an
error if I had too much memory on board?

Hello,

I am thinking of buying a Grant boiler. I see they have a built in
pump. That's a shame because I only recently fitted a smart pump to my
system. Does it invalidate the guarantee if I swap it? I guess it
will.

Anyhow, I wondered since it has a built-in pump it probably has a
built-in bypass valve. I asked their tech. department and I was told:

1. no pump overrun is required.
2. it needs a bypass valve but this is not included in the boiler.

I was surprised at these. I thought all new boilers needed an overrun,
or is that only with gas boilers?

It seems strange that they have decided to fit a pump but not the
bypass. If they want to save money why not omit both? But to fit one
but not the other seems a strange choice IMHO.

However, what is puzzling me is why should it need a bypass valve if
there is no overrun? Surely the purpose of the valve is to allow the
overrun water somewhere to go?

Where do I fit a bypass valve? Right next to the boiler or do they
have to be 1 metre away due to heat (like plastic pipe does) or
somewhere else?

Thanks,
Stephen.

I bought this house with an in-ground swimming pool 2 years ago.

Never had any problems until now.

It's a pool spa combination. About 10,500 gallons. Two skimmers. Two drains
(pool and spa) heater, floating chlorine dispenser, sand-filter and Polaris.
Pool is about 35 years old.

Just recently it started getting air bubbles coming out of one of the spa
input jets. I can hear some air going through the plumbing near the
filter/multi valve. I don't see any bubbles going into the main pump filter
basket.

The sand filter's pressure gauge indicates a small decrease in pressure
(approx drop from 17lbs to 16lbs) but when any leaves get in the pump filter
basket the pressure drops dramatically. (past 10 lbs)

I've also noticed more sand in the pool from the filter

Questions:

How can I track down the leak?

Could it be the valves gaskets?

Does a worn spider gasket on the multi valve cause sand in the pool and
could this be where I'm getting the air bubbles from?

Could the air be coming from a pump gasket?

TIA
